I notice there are many old TELB out there with off-load hook system. When did the on-load hook system came in the regulation?
Can these old lifeboats continue to be in service with the off-load hook system? Until they are scrap....?
on-load release gear was made mandatory on vessels that had their keels laid on or after 1 July 1986. Therefore vessels that were constucted prior to that date are not covered by that regulation.
